Certificate of Honour

John Hopkins

Nev Ramsbottom (Chairman of the Camping & Caravanning Club) presents John Hopkins with the Club Certificate of Honour at the Goose Fair 2008

The Certificates, which are awarded for services rendered to camping and caravanning, give us an opportunity of saying thank you in a tangible way to those who have been of exceptional or outstanding service to the Club.  The award is open, on your nomination to all members including National and Regional Councillors and particularly to members who have perhaps helped us in a quiet way which has not attracted the limelight that normally shines on those who hold an important office in the Club.
Joint nominations for married couples will be considered on the basis of the services rendered by each partner as an individual.  It is possible in these circumstances that an award will be made to only one of the couple and this should be considered fully when nominees are proposed.
At the June meeting of the Regional council the three nominations that had been received were considered and one selected to be submitted to Coventry as the Eastern Region nomination for a 2007 Club Certificate of Honour. Our nomination will be considered by the Management Committee in August and put to the National Council in September when it will either be accepted or rejected.

Anyone wishing further details regarding the information required to put forward a nomination for the 2008 award should contact the Regional Secretary.
