Eastern Region of The Camping and Caravanning Club

The Certificates, which are awarded for services rendered to camping and caravanning, give us an opportunity of saying thank you in a tangible way to those who have been of exceptional or outstanding service to the Club. The award is open, on your nomination to all members including National and Regional Councillors and particularly to members who have perhaps helped us in a quiet way which has not attracted the limelight that normally shines on those who hold an important office in the Club. Joint nominations for married couples will be considered on the basis of the services rendered by each partner as an individual. It is possible in these circumstances that an award will be made to only one of the couple and this should be considered fully when nominees are proposed. 

At the Regional Council meeting in May a nomination was approved by the Council and was submitted to HQ. National Council has endorsed our submission and Graham Wilkin will be presented with his Club Certificate of Honour at the End of Season celebration in November.

Nominations for the 2012 Club Certificate of Honour must be submitted to the Regional Secretary by 28 April 2012.

2011 Club Certificate of Honour

The Club Treasurer Sally Birch presented Graham Wilkin with the National Certificate of Honour 2011, for all the work he has done on behalf of BCC within Eastern Region. The presentation was made at the Eastern Region annual dinner which Graham attended with his wife Eileen.

2010 Club Certificate of Honour

The Club Chairman Keith Jackson presented Steve Harris with the National Certificate of Honour 2010, for all the work he has done on behalf of National Council, Eastern Region and the other DA's and Sections within Eastern Region. The presentation was made at the Norfolk and Suffolk DA annual dinner which Steve attended with his wife Carol.

2009 Club Certificate of Honour

Chris and Jill Nursey received the 2009 award for all the work they have done on behalf of East Essex DA, Eastern Region and the other DA's and Sections within Eastern Region. Chris has now stood down as Regional Chairman but continues as webmaster and Jill is still ensuring a correct record is kept of the Regional Council meetings.

2007 Club Certificate of Honour

Club Chairman Neville Ramsbottom made the award of a Club Certificate of Honour to Eastern Region member John Hopkins at the 2007 Goose Fair
